Hamburgum - 10 May 2012

We played Hamburgum several times back in 2010 but it hadn't been played since.  A nice game with an unusual theme (church donations) and the popular rondel mechanism.  Previous games had been with three or four players, and I felt it didn't work quite as well with five.  There just wasn't enough room in the city and it was easy to get hemmed in, with the consequential restriction in strategy options.  Still fun, and the end-game scoring means you can't really see who's ahead until the final reckoning.  This week, a return to form for David, winning with 59 prestige points.  Then Orhan on 51, James on 49, Kieron on 43 and Andy on 31.
